I’m a reader at heart.

I love reading articles, magazines, books and any publication (except for newspaper) that catches my attention. Recently, I developed the habit of jotting down words that I cannot understand from the articles and clippings , and look for their meaning, here are some of my recent finds;

  1. Succinct – Briefly giving the gist of something
  2. Gist – The central meaning or theme of a speech or literary work. The choicest or most essential or most vital part of some idea or experience
  3. Begrudgingly -  With resentment; in a resentful manner
  4. Resentment – A feeling of deep and bitter anger and ill-will
  5. Accentuate – - Single out as important; draw attention to (something)
  6. Abreast – Being up to particular standard or level especially in being up to date in knowledge
  7. Conducive – Tending to bring about; being partly responsible for
  8. Admonishing – Expressing reproof or reproach especially as a corrective
  9. Chagrined -  Feeling or caused to feel uneasy and self-conscious
